RASC News Agency: Officials from the Taliban group in the Ministry of Rehabilitation and Rural Development announced the distribution of food supplies to 988 needy families in Ghazni province and 1,360 families in Paktika province.
The officials from the Ministry of Rehabilitation and Rural Development of the Taliban group in Ghazni province stated that they have distributed food aid to 988 families in the Giro district of the province.
Similarly, the officials from the Ministry of Rehabilitation and Rural Development of the Taliban group in Paktika province also confirmed the distribution of food supplies to 1,360 families in the Wazi Khwah district of the province.
According to the Taliban officials in these provinces, the distributed aid was provided in collaboration with the World Food Programme (WFP), in technical cooperation with the HAALO Institute, and in coordination with the leadership of the Ministry of Rehabilitation and Rural Development of these provinces.
It is reported that the distributed assistance for these families included 50 kilograms of flour, 4.55 kilograms of oil, 6.30 kilograms of lentils, and 1.68 kilograms of nutritional supplements for children.
This comes as domestic and international aid organizations, especially the World Food Programme, have previously announced the distribution of aid to needy families in various provinces of the country.
However, it is worth noting that due to decades of conflict and the lack of suitable working conditions for Afghanistani citizens, the country still strongly relies on humanitarian assistance.
Meanwhile, it should be mentioned that according to reports, some Afghanistani citizens have claimed that assistance from aid organizations is not distributed fairly among them, and that this group primarily allocates assistance to their preferred areas.
