RASC News Agency: Continuing the flow of humanitarian aid extended to the victims of the devastating Herat earthquake, reports from Taliban-affiliated media outlets indicate that Kazakhstan has dispatched 27 food-laden wagons to provide relief in Herat.

On Tuesday, October 17, Afghanistan National Radio Television, which is under the control of the Taliban group, announced that the assistance was sent from the cities of Almaty and Qarghandi in Kazakhstan, aimed at alleviating the suffering faced by those affected by the Herat earthquake.
The Taliban group has revealed that the aid shipment encompasses essential items, including rice, flour, milk, blankets, and clothing.

It is noteworthy that the initial supply of aid from Kazakhstan, which included medical supplies and equipment, had arrived in the province of Herat last Wednesday.
Yet, nearly two weeks have passed since the initial earthquake struck Herat, prompting various nations such as Kazakhstan, China, Turkey, Iran, Japan, and others to extend their assistance to those in need.

Reports indicate the severe impact that the earthquakes have had on the residents of Herat, emphasizing the urgent requirement for substantial humanitarian aid. Relief organizations have underscored the crucial need to provide ample support to these individuals to prevent significant loss of life during the impending winter season in Herat.

It is important to mention that the western region of Afghanistan has experienced multiple earthquakes in the past two weeks. Several nations worldwide have committed to providing humanitarian aid to the people of Afghanistan, particularly those impacted by the earthquake in Herat. A portion of this aid has already been distributed, demonstrating the international community’s support for Afghanistan during this challenging period.
