RASC News Agency: According to local sources in Laghman province, two former soldiers from the previous government were reportedly shot by the Taliban group in the province. The incident occurred on Sunday, October 15, in the “Degran” area of Dawlat Shah District, as confirmed by reliable sources.
The individuals involved have been identified as Dadi Khan and Jawid, who both served as police soldiers of the former government. The Taliban authorities in Laghman province have claimed that their forces engaged in a conflict that resulted in the deaths of these two former soldiers.

However, local sources in the province have contradicted this claim, stating that since the Taliban took control of the country, Dadi Khan and Jawid had embraced unarmed and peaceful lives. This starkly contrasts the actions of the Taliban group, who continue to arrest, torture, and even kill soldiers from the former government, despite their declaration of a general amnesty.
Moreover, the United Nations Assistance Mission for Afghanistan (UNAMA) has previously reported that the Taliban group resorts to torture to extract confessions from soldiers and detainees held in their prisons. This adds to the growing concern surrounding the group’s human rights abuses.

It is worth noting that since the Taliban’s ascension to power, a substantial number of military personnel, journalists, civil society activists, and international organization colleagues have fled the country due to the fear instilled by this group. The dire situation has forced many to seek safety elsewhere, further emphasizing the grave impact of the Taliban’s reign.
