RASC News Agency: The United Nations Deputy Office in Kabul (UNAMA) has announced that a meeting about the situation in Afghanistan is scheduled to be held by the United Nations Security Council on Tuesday, September 26.
It has been said that this meeting will be held today at 10:00 New York time and Kabul evening.
Roza Otenbayeva, the special representative of the UN Secretary General in Afghanistan, will be one of the speakers in this meeting.
UNAMA has not provided more details about the agenda of this meeting.
Information indicates that the discussion about the situation of women and girls in Afghanistan will be part of the agenda of the UN Security Council meeting.
Furthermore, on the eve of this meeting, Sima Bahous, the executive director of the United Nations Women’s Department, addressed the women and girls of Afghanistan and said that she will not stop strengthening their voices.
Meanwhile, the Secretary General of the United Nations also said a while ago that she stands by the women and girls who call for their rights and supports them.
As well as, Guterres said in a report some time ago that the Taliban group has always emphasized their claim that the war and conflicts in Afghanistan have decreased, but despite this, the restrictions on women and girls continue.
After the domination of the Taliban group over the country since two years, this group started restricting Afghan women and girls through extensive orders.
It should be mentioned that, Taliban group is against women and girls activities in the societies, which they prohibited women and girls schools, universities and beauty parlors.
