RASC News Agency: The World Food Program (WFP) has announced that if the funds needed to take care of the needy in Afghanistan are not provided, this will cause women in Afghanistan under the control of the Taliban group to lose their last way of salvation.

World Food Program on Tuesday, September 26, in a message on X social media, wrote that due to budget cuts and lack of funding, one million mothers and their children will be deprived of nutritional support.

Meanwhile, in Afghanistan, under the control of the Taliban group, women are increasingly excluded from society, and this has caused them to lose opportunities to earn a living and feed their children.

The World Food Program added that due to budget cuts, the program has been forced to reduce its aid to the needy in Afghanistan, where 15 million people do not know where their meals come from.

This program has announced that it needs a budget of one billion dollars to help the needy in Afghanistan in the coming winter.

Previously, Cindy McCain, the executive director of the World Food Program, said that the program does not have enough funds to survive the month of October, and if the required funds are not provided, the program will be forced to leave Afghanistan.

This is despite the fact that in Afghanistan under the control of the Taliban group, women do not have the right to work in domestic and international institutions, and this is one of the reasons that caused the number of needy people to increase in the country.

In addition to the World Food Program, aid agencies have repeatedly warned of budget cuts and an increase in needy people in Afghanistan.
