RASC News Agency: The local authorities of the Taliban group in Badghis and Ghor provinces announce the distribution of aid to 3,239 needy families in these provinces by aid organizations.
The press office of the governor of the Taliban group in Badghis has published a newsletter saying that food has been distributed to 3,122 needy families in Abkamri district of this province by the international organization “World Vision”.
According to this office, with the help of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), cash has been distributed to 42 families in this province.
It is said that an amount of 22,600 Kabuli/Afghani rupees in cash was distributed to each family.
Meanwhile, the Directorate of Refugee Affairs of the Taliban group in Ghor province says that 75 internally displaced women in this province have been helped by the organization (RSDO) with fruit processing equipment.
It has been said that these women have been trained for six months in processing and how to collect fruits, and the purpose of implementing this project is to facilitate and support the displaced women.
This is despite the fact that after the resumption of the Taliban group in the country, poverty has increased in an unprecedented manner and international organizations have expressed concern about this.
Earlier, the World Food Program said that one billion dollars is needed to help 21 million people in need in Afghanistan, and more than 20 million people in this country are facing the risk of starvation.
The World Food Program added that a total of ten million people in Afghanistan have been denied food aid this year.
