RASC News Agency: Security officials of the Taliban group in Jawzjan province report the murder of a newlywed by her husband in the city of Sheberghan, the center of this province.

Abdul Sattar Halimi, the spokesman of the security command of the Taliban group in Jawzjan province, said in a newsletter that this newlywed was killed by her husband on the night of September 19 in Yanga ArigH area of ShEberghan city.

In the newsletter of this command, it is stated that this new bride’s name is Alia and she was 20 years old.

According to the spokesman of the security command of the Taliban group in Jawzjan province, the husband of this woman, whose name is “Mohammed”, fled from the area after the murder.

Meanwhile, public sources in Sheberghan city, while confirming the day of this incident to the media, said that four months had passed since the wedding of this couple.

Abdul Sattar Halimi, the spokesman of the security command of the Taliban group in Jawzjan province, stated that no one has been arrested in connection with this incident and announced the beginning of efforts in this regard.

Halimi added that this murder happened due to family violence.

This is despite the fact that with the domination of the Taliban group over the country and the increase in poverty and unemployment, family violence has increased among families in different parts of the country.

Meanwhile, in Afghanistan under the control of the Taliban group, despite the severe and increasing restrictions imposed by this group on women’s lives, they have been deprived of their most basic rights.
