RASC: Sources in Kabul province say that the Taliban group in Dasht Barchi of Kabul has beaten up a street attorney for installing Muharram flags.
According to the sources, Hadi Ahmadi, an attorney of one of the crossings of Dasht Barchi, was severely beaten and arrested by the Taliban group, but he was released after a few hours with the help of the people, due to putting up the Ashura flag and trying to set up a brothel.
Sources say that the Taliban group, contrary to their statement that they will not prevent Muharram ceremonies in the Shia-populated areas of Kabul, but on the contrary yesterday, they had stationed an intelligence ranger at every street in Dasht Barchi and were checking people’s Muharram activities.
On the other hand, it is said that the fighters of this group beat up several drivers and tore their flags in the Chahar Qala area of Chahardehi district of Kabul yesterday for installing Muharram flags.
According to the sources, at the same time, the two fighters of this group clashed with a number of Hussainis mourners in the Dehbori area of Kabul due to the installation of Muharram flags on top of the shops, and the people beat the fighters of this group.
It should be mentioned that with the arrival of the month of Muharram, the Taliban group had announced restrictions on the organizers of the Muharram ceremony in Kabul province and other provinces of the country, among them was the reduction of Takia Khana and Saqa Khanas and the lack of crowding in this ceremony. In addition, yesterday, the Shia Scholars Council, in response to these restrictions, demanded its cancellation and asked the organizers of the Muharram ceremony to hold this ceremony as grand as ever.
