RASC: Amir Khan Motaqi, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Taliban group, said in a meeting that the economic crisis in Afghanistan is propaganda, and in terms of security, the amount of criminal offenses has reached zero.

Nevertheless, the citizens of the country say that there is a big difference between the words of the officials of the Taliban group and the real life of the people.

One of the residents of Badghis province says: “There is no water, no flour, no oil, no tea, search my house. There are no edible ingredients.”

Abdul Nasser, another resident of Badghis province, says: “I don’t have food, I don’t have water, I don’t have shelter, we don’t have a clinic, and our economy is very weak.”

In the last two days, the World Food Program warned that 9 million people in Afghanistan are facing a serious threat of starvation in the coming winter.

Siar Quraishi; the economic expert says: “If the political conditions, which are now more complicated, continue; it will have a negative impact on the economy of the people of Afghanistan.”

Motaq: Criminal crimes have reached zero!

While the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Taliban group says that the amount of criminal crimes in Afghanistan has reached zero, some residents of Takhar province are extremely concerned about the increase in armed robberies in this province.

According to sources, two days ago in Taleqan city, thieves stole the property of a goldsmith in this city and injured two people.

Samiullah; A resident of Takhar province said in this regard: “In the last few months, armed robberies have increased a lot and people’s concern about this matter has increased.”

Seyyed Zainuddin Zahid, a resident of Takhar province, also adds: “Unfortunately, we are witnessing the bloody events of armed robberies lately, without a doubt; it causes a great concern in the society.”

At the same time, the Bakhtar news agency under the administration of the Taliban announced in the last two days that 23 people were arrested in Kabul and 19 people in Kunduz on charges of criminal offenses.

The statistics provided by the Taliban group to the media also show that there are currently 17,000 prisoners in the prisons of the Taliban group, most of whom are accused of criminal crimes.

Hamed Elmi; the journalist says: “We have to make a difference between the two phenomena that there is no crime in a country or that the media and journalists are not allowed to publish such reports.”

The difference between the narrative of the Taliban group and the narrative of foreign officials about the meetings

Apart from these two issues, in the past week, the Taliban have also provided different information about meeting with foreign officials.

The Taliban group wrote in a tweet that the political officer of UNAMA has invited the Taliban group to a Doha format meeting, but the sources in UNAMA denied this news to the media.

On the other hand, the Japanese embassy in Afghanistan, contrary to the announcement of the Taliban’s foreign ministry, tweeted that the country’s ambassador only met with Amir Khan Motaqi on the issues of good governance, humanitarian aid to the people of Afghanistan, women’s right to work, and girls’ education.
