RASC: According to local sources in Maidan Wardak, the flood in this province has destroyed dozens of residential houses and hundreds of acres of agricultural lands.

Sources said yesterday, Wednesday, June 28, that on the night of Tuesday, June 27, heavy rains and flooding in the center and some cities of this province caused huge financial losses to the people.

The Department of Combating Natural Disasters under the management of the Taliban group in Maidan Wardak said in a newsletter that the occurrence of floods in Nirkh and Jalriz districts of this province has led to the complete destruction of 60 residential houses and 300 acres of agricultural land has been destroyed along with it.

Meanwhile, local sources from this district have informed about the lack of urgent assistance to the victims of this flood and said that no aid organization has paid attention to them.

At the same time, the local people of the Taliban group in Kapisa report the occurrence of floods due to heavy rains in this province.

Abdul Fattah Fayez, the spokesperson of the security command of the Taliban group in Kapisa, said that the village of Shokhi in the center of this province witnessed the flooding yesterday, June 28, around 3:30 in the morning.

According to him, this incident has led to the destruction of dozens of residential houses, hundreds of acres of agricultural land, and several cars.

As a result of this flood, dozens of cattle have been lost and the road in Shokhi area has been closed to traffic.

So far, no information has been provided on the statistics of human casualties of this event.

It should be mentioned that the flooding of yesterday destroyed dozens of residential houses in Khairkot, Barmel and Ergun districts of Paktika province and led to the death of two people.
