The leader of the Taliban group said in his message: “Just as we do not interfere in the internal affairs of other countries, we also do not allow others to interfere in our internal affairs or guide us under any circumstances and under any title.”
In his Eid message, the leader of the Taliban group made no mention of lifting restrictions against women, especially in the education and work sectors, but said that the group had secured “all Sharia rights” for women.
The leader of the Taliban has claimed that this group has taken measures “to save women from forced marriage, harming them and other atrocities and the effects of not wearing the hijab and going astray on women during the years of occupation are ending.”
In one part of his message, Hebatullah Akhundzadeh stated: “In the economic sector, we can say that all the possibilities that seem to be an economic collapse and a global crisis have been proved wrong by the grace of God.”
These statements are made while according to the information of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Aid (OCHA), 28.8 million people in the country need assistance.
