RASC: According to sources, as a result of the claims of the Kochis regarding the disappearance of their herd, the Taliban group has arrested and imprisoned 17 residents of Sare Cheshma Sia Khak area, Jalriz district, Maidan Wardak province.
Reliable sources said on Thursday night, July 22, that Kochis claim that 420 of their sheep were lost in this area in 1398.
According to the sources, the Kochi people made this claim after the Taliban took control of the country. One of these sources says that this claim of the Kochis are untrue and they have not witnessed the disappearance of any herd in this area.
According to the sources, the court of the Taliban group last year requested documents from the Kochis regarding their claim, but because the Kochis could not produce documents, the case was decided in favor of the people.
Sources say, the Kochis have repeated their claim again this year and as a result of this claim, the Taliban group has arrested and imprisoned 17 local residents.
The sources have stated that these people have been arrested, imprisoned and released again since the fall of last year, and the last time these arrests were on Thursday of last week, they are still in the custody of the Taliban group.
According to the sources, the Kochis demanded 4,200,000 Kabuli/Afghani rupees from the 17 residents of Sare Cheshma Siahkhak area of Jalriz district, who are currently in the custody of the Taliban group, and the Taliban said that they will not be released until this amount is paid. .
One of these sources says that the elders of the region went to the administration of Jalriz district and ,Maidan Wardak province to release these people, but the Taliban officials did not pay any attention to their petition.
The local officials of the Taliban group in Maidan Wardak have not yet said anything about these claims.
