Forecast of Heavy Rains in 13 Provinces by Afghanistan Meteorological Department

RASC: The Afghanistan Meteorological Department has warned about the possibility of heavy rain in 13 provinces of Afghanistan.

Today, Wednesday, 17 May, the Afghanistan Meteorological Department has warned that there is a possibility of heavy rain in some provinces.

The Afghanistan Meteorological Department said that heavy rainfall with lightning, floods and storms expected in 13 provinces of the country.

The Afghanistan Meteorological Department published a statement saying that the possibility of rain, flood and strong wind predicted in Badakhshan, Takhar, Baghlan, Parwan, Panjshir, Kapisa, Nuristan, Kunar, Laghman, Kunduz, Balkh, Sarpol and Ghor provinces in the coming hours.

The Afghanistan Meteorological Department has predicted 15-25 mm of rain and 20-80 km/h wind speed.

This is despite the fact that recently some provinces of the country witnessed heavy rains and floods.
