RASC News Agency: Informed sources have reported that Mawlawi Bahruddin Jowzjani, a close associate of Marshal Abdul Rashid Dostum and one of his former advisers, has been arrested by Taliban security agencies after returning to Afghanistan.
According to these reports, Jowzjani returned to Afghanistan approximately five days ago following an invitation from Taliban intelligence officials. However, shortly after his arrival, he was detained by the group’s security forces.
Sources indicate that he is currently being held under interrogation, investigation, and surveillance by Taliban intelligence authorities. So far, Taliban officials have not issued any official statement regarding the reasons for his arrest or his legal status.
Mawlawi Bahruddin Jowzjani has long been recognized as a prominent figure within the political circle associated with Marshal Dostum and the National Islamic Movement of Afghanistan. Over the years, he served in various capacities, including as an adviser and spokesperson for the office of Marshal Dostum during different periods of his political career.
