The Beginning of a Campaign to Distribute Strengthening Materials for Children and Teenage girls in Herat province

RASC: The campaign to distribute strengthening materials for children and adolescent girls by the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) and the “ADA” office in Herat province has started.

This campaign started on Wednesday, May 10 and it is going to continue for five days in the form of door-to-door in all parts of Herat

The officials of the public health department of the Taliban group in Herat province say that through this campaign, 153650 teenage girls will be given anemia tablets and 144553 children under 5 years of age will be distributed nutritional supplements.

According to them, this campaign launched following the increase in malnutrition among children and anemia among teenage girls in Herat province.

This campaign started after the domination of the Taliban group, the scope of poverty, unemployment in the country has expanded, and this has caused an increase in malnutrition among children.
