Afghanistan Liberation Front Strikes Taliban Convoy in Takhar, Inflicting Heavy Casualties

RASC News Agency: The Afghanistan Liberation Front has claimed responsibility for an armed assault on a Taliban intelligence convoy in Taluqan, the capital of Takhar province. According to the group’s statement, the attack, carried out on Saturday evening February 8, resulted in the deaths of three Taliban operatives, while two others sustained serious injuries. The operation was conducted in Police District 1, where an explosion had also been reported earlier that evening. The Taliban have yet to issue a response, a silence that aligns with their consistent denial of resistance movements operating within Afghanistan.

Over the past two and a half years, the Afghanistani people have witnessed the Taliban’s systematic misinformation and suppression of truth, a tactic employed to conceal their vulnerabilities. The Afghanistan Liberation Front and the National Resistance Front were the first armed factions to declare war against the Taliban following the fall of the previous Afghanistan government. These groups have since stood in defiance of global intelligence maneuvers that facilitated the Taliban’s resurgence.

Despite their relentless struggle, neither resistance group has received official backing from any foreign state. In stark contrast, the Taliban despite establishing an archaic theocracy, banning women from education and public life, enforcing ethnic and gender-based exclusion, and sheltering terrorist networks have continued to receive financial, political, and logistical support from the United States, several Western powers, and intelligence agencies of Iran, Russia, China, Turkey, and certain Arab states.
