RASC News Agency: Afghanistan’s Ambassador to Tajikistan has emphasized that political resistance against Taliban oppression remains the embassy’s principal mission, pledging sustained efforts toward this objective. In a meeting with Chung Sung-sik, South Korea’s Ambassador to Tajikistan, Mohammad Zahir Aghbar reaffirmed that in these challenging times, Afghanistan’s embassy is dedicated to standing against Taliban tyranny as a top priority.
Aghbar reiterated his steadfast commitment to the cause, raising his voice against the Taliban’s repression and discrimination. He assured that Afghanistan’s embassy in Tajikistan will continue its unrelenting efforts in this critical struggle. “The Taliban’s oppressive policies over the past three years,” Aghbar stated, “have severely curtailed women’s rights, barring them from education, employment, and other fundamental freedoms. Recently, the regime has even imposed restrictions on women’s visibility and voices in public life.”
He underscored that these measures have not only diminished personal and social liberties but also hindered the formation of a balanced and progressive Afghanistan society. Aghbar further remarked that, by dismissing democratic processes and enforcing “extremist policies,” the Taliban have effectively silenced the Afghanistani populace while deepening the country’s international isolation.
According to Aghbar, the global community remains overwhelmingly reluctant to grant recognition or legitimacy to the Taliban regime. In his address, Aghbar also conveyed that the South Korean ambassador emphasized the importance of joint cooperation and strengthening ties between South Korea and the Afghanistani people.
