RASC News Agency: The Freedom Front of Afghanistan has claimed responsibility for a targeted attack in Kabul, resulting in the death of four Taliban intelligence operatives. This incident occurred late Saturday night along Darul Aman Road, within the seventh security zone of Kabul city. In a statement issued on “X” (formerly Twitter) on Sunday, the 29th of Mizan/Mehr, the Freedom Front confirmed that Taliban intelligence personnel were specifically targeted. The statement emphasized, “During this operation, four Taliban militants riding a military vehicle were killed. Precise information regarding the number of wounded remains unavailable at this time.”
As expected, the Taliban have not commented on the incident, following their usual approach of silence on such matters. Previously, local sources had confirmed the occurrence of an explosion in Kabul. Only three days earlier, the Freedom Front had claimed responsibility for another attack on the Taliban’s Ministry of Interior, allegedly killing four of the group’s fighters. Over the past three years, the Freedom Front has conducted numerous targeted operations against Taliban military and intelligence forces across Kabul and other provinces, with significant casualties reported.
Despite these substantial losses, the Taliban remain tight-lipped about such targeted operations, raising concerns about their disregard for their own ranks. Analysts suggest that the Taliban leadership places little value on the lives of their fighters, treating them merely as expendable tools in their ongoing conflict. Once killed, these fighters are neither acknowledged nor honored, further illustrating the indifference of the group toward its own forces.
