RASC News Agency: The National Resistance Council for the Salvation of Afghanistan, in a message for Eid al-Adha, stated that the Taliban’s participation in international meetings, such as the third Doha summit, will not produce positive results for Afghanistan under their rule. According to a statement released on Saturday night, June 15, by the National Resistance Council, any meeting concerning Afghanistan that excludes political parties, civil institutions, human rights activists, the media, and ethnic representatives will only complicate the crisis in the country.
The council stated, “Once again, we call on the United Nations and all involved countries to include all political factions, civil institutions, human rights and women’s rights activists, the media, and representatives of various ethnic groups in these meetings and future processes.” The National Resistance Council added that under nearly three years of Taliban rule, Afghanistan has lacked a legitimate and lawful system.
The statement further noted, “Over the past three years, it has been evident that the Taliban persist in their regressive beliefs and actions, worse than their first regime. Therefore, there is no room for further experimentation; comprehensive resistance against this group is the only solution.” The council urged all political parties and military factions opposing the Taliban to unite in this struggle. Additionally, the council highlighted the ongoing deprivation of women and girls from their rights to education and employment, stating that this singular “inhumane act by the Taliban” has driven the country and its people towards ruin.
The National Resistance Council also accused the Taliban of torturing and killing citizens, as well as seizing their lands and properties. This opposition group declared that by signing contracts for mining operations with other countries, the Taliban are “plundering” the nation’s economic resources and wealth. Last month, in response to public protests against the Taliban in Badakhshan, the National Resistance Council remarked that “the Taliban cannot achieve their oppressive objectives through the humiliation and killing of the people.”
