According to the press release from the Taliban’s police command in Ghor, the incident occurred on Monday, June 10, when the male victim allegedly went to the female victim’s house with the intent of committing adultery.
The Taliban’s statement detailed that the woman’s husband used a Kalashnikov to kill both his wife and the alleged intruder. The Taliban police in Ghor described the killings as “honor-related” and added that investigations are ongoing to clarify the details of the case. The police have also arrested the suspect, a 27-year-old man, in connection with the killings.
