Freedom Front Forces Attack Mullah Hibatullah’s Security Detail in Kabul

RASC News Agency: The Afghanistan Freedom Front claims its forces have attacked the security team of Mullah Hibatullah Akhundzada, the Taliban leader, in Kabul. According to a press release issued by the Freedom Front, the attack occurred around 8:15 PM on Friday, May 17, near the Shah-Do Shamshira Mosque in Kabul.

 

The Freedom Front asserts in its statement that its forces targeted the special guard of the Taliban leader stationed at the temporary security perimeter of the Presidential Palace. The press release states that at least three of Mullah Hibatullah’s guards were killed and one was injured as a result of the attack.

 

The Taliban have yet to comment on the incident. The Freedom Front has previously reported attacks on Taliban members in various parts of the country. According to available information, Mullah Hibatullah Akhundzada arrived in Kabul on Wednesday, May 15, and is currently staying in the city.
