RASC News Agency: Local sources in Nangarhar province report that a man killed his brother following a verbal dispute. On Thursday, May 9, local sources informed the media that the incident took place in the third district of Jalalabad city.

According to the sources, the man stabbed his brother to death after the altercation and sustained injuries in the process. He is currently receiving treatment in a hospital.

Incidents of familial violence such as this are not uncommon and have been reported in other provinces, often resulting in fatalities.

Economic hardships, mental health issues, and land disputes are cited as contributing factors to familial violence, which has seen a significant rise since the Taliban’s takeover.
