RASC News Agency: Amid a series of unexplained and targeted killings across various provinces, local sources report that a doctor was recently killed under mysterious circumstances in Faryab province. Sources informed the media on Thursday, April 25, that the doctor, identified as Mohammad Zia Zahidi, was killed the previous night in the village of Gawaki within the Garziwan district.
According to sources, Mohammad Zia was stabbed to death in his home, but it remains unclear who the perpetrator was or the motive behind the murder. Since the Taliban took control of the country, the rate of criminal activity, particularly unexplained and targeted murders, has notably increased in several provinces, especially in Faryab.
Three weeks ago, a female doctor was also murdered in this province. This has raised concerns among citizens across different provinces, with some attributing these incidents to the involvement of Taliban members.
At the same time, the Taliban have consistently claimed that since their takeover, there has been nationwide security and that the lives and properties of the people are safe.
