RASC News Agency: Former United States National Security Advisor, John Bolton, has voiced concerns about the current state of security, both domestically and globally. During a recent television interview on Apr 3, Bolton highlighted the potential risks, citing recent ISIS attacks in Iran and Russia as evidence of the group’s capability to launch significant assaults from Afghanistan territory.
Bolton underscored that officials within the Biden administration have also acknowledged, during congressional hearings, the return of thousands of terrorists to Afghanistan following the Taliban’s resurgence. These statements coincide with remarks made by Zabihullah Mujahid, spokesperson for the Taliban, who asserted in a recent communication to National Radio under Taliban control, that ISIS no longer maintains a presence in Afghanistan.
Mujahid further alleged that officials from certain regional and global powers promote and exaggerate ISIS’s influence, claiming that while ISIS was once active, it has since been subdued. Nevertheless, some US lawmakers and officials from neighboring countries have expressed deep concern over the bolstering of terrorist groups under Taliban governance in Afghanistan.
