RASC News Agency: Recently, two American security officials have reported that two citizens of the United States are currently being held captive by the Taliban. NBC News, citing these two unnamed officials, reported on Saturday, March 30th, that several other citizens of this country are present in Afghanistan by their own volition.

One of the hostages is Ryan Corbett, whom the Taliban detained and imprisoned in August 2022. Authorities have not provided an explanation regarding the identity of the second captive held by the Taliban. One of these officials stated that this individual traveled to Afghanistan with a tourist visa after being evacuated in 2021.

He added, “Every American who wanted to leave has left Afghanistan. We haven’t left a single person behind. We evacuate our Afghanistani allies every month. The U.S. Department of State and the Taliban have not disclosed specific figures regarding American citizens imprisoned in Afghanistan by the Taliban.

A few days ago, Anna Corbett, the wife of Ryan Corbett, an American captive held by the Taliban, expressed concern about Ryan’s health condition in the custody of this group. She urged President Joe Biden to take serious action to secure the release of her husband.
