RASC News Agency: Local sources have reported that Taliban intelligence is detaining youths from various areas, including Dara Jarah, Kasa Tarash, Qasan, Bano, Taghanak, and other districts of Andarab, under various pretexts. Media outlets today, Tuesday, March 19th, have cited sources stating that Taliban intelligence recently detained a young man from Deh Salah district in Baghlan province.

Further local sources add that Qari Qadir, a Taliban intelligence official for Andarab district, recently detained a young farmer named Sayed Khalil from the village of Sang Buran, demanding money and weapons from his family in exchange for his release. According to sources, residents of Andarab are increasingly troubled by the violent behavior and brutality of Taliban intelligence officials and are unable to move freely.

Sources also reveal that the Taliban detain and severely torture men from Andarab district and other parts of Baghlan province in order to extort money and weapons. It is worth mentioning that Andarab is one of the northern districts where National Resistance Forces were present and fighting against the Taliban after the fall of Afghanistan.

Following recent attacks by the National Resistance Front in Kabul and several other provinces, the Taliban have also detained former youths and military personnel in Kabul.
