RASC News Agency: Local sources from Ghor Province report that a Taliban commander recently severed a child’s ear in the central region of the province. Sources informed the media on Monday, Mar 11, that this incident occurred last week in the village of “Yar Fulad,” near the city of Firuzkoh, in the central area of the province.
According to sources, a Taliban commander cut off a child’s ear because he failed to learn his lessons, as depicted in video footage available to the media, showing blood flowing from the child’s ear. Meanwhile, Abdul Rahman Badri, the Taliban police spokesperson for Ghor Province, stated that initial investigations indicate that the child’s father, who had mental health issues, severed his ear. However, sources in Ghor confirmed that a Taliban commander severed the child’s ear with a knife, although the Taliban group denies it.
Badri emphasized that some biased media outlets have published news alleging that a Taliban cleric severed a child’s ear with a knife, which is untrue, a blatant lie, and slander, as this act was carried out by the child’s father.
It is noteworthy that previously, a cleric in Shirin Tagab district of Faryab province severely beat a child. This incident occurs at a time when the Taliban group, having gained control of the country, has shown particular interest in the education sector, especially in religious schools.
