RASC News Agency: General Abdul Malik, leader of the Freedom Party and one of Afghanistan’s Turkic leaders, has recently asserted, “The involvement of Tom West and Zalmay Khalilzad in Afghanistan affairs forebodes no prospects for peace and ethnic solidarity.” Mr. Malik conveyed this sentiment on Friday, Feb 23, in response to statements made by Tom West, the special representative of the United States for Afghanistan, on the X social media platform.

In his message, General Malik characterized Zalmay Khalilzad and Tom West as representatives of “catastrophic America,” emphasizing that their participation in Afghan affairs extinguishes hope for peace and ethnic unity. General Malik articulated, “A small faction within the Biden administration and these two malevolent figures (Khalilzad and Tom West) stand as the architects of Afghanistan’s catastrophe and the disgrace of NATO and America.”

Tom West, the special representative of the United States for Afghanistan, recently expressed his country’s endorsement of the continued Doha talks on Afghanistan and its aspiration to guide the UN in devising a roadmap for Afghanistan’s complete integration into the international framework. This development unfolds against the backdrop of Afghanistan’s critical human rights, social, political, and economic circumstances under Taliban governance. Earlier, a meeting convened by the Secretary-General of the United Nations addressed Afghanistan in Doha.
