A Man's Corpse Discovered in Herat Province

RASC News Agency: According to local sources in Herat province, the body of a man was discovered on Monday, Feb 12, in the Enjil district of the province, following a day of disappearance. Sources relayed to the media that the man’s name was Khwaja Abdullah and he was nearly 70 years old. He had gone missing the previous day from the Now Abad area in the eleventh district of Herat city.

The sources indicated that Abdullah’s corpse was found today in the Kamarkolagh area of injil district in Herat province, displaying visible signs of assault on the elderly man’s body. The Taliban group in Herat province has yet to issue a statement regarding the murder of this man, while criminal incidents have recently been increasing in various parts of the country.

In the most recent occurrence, a young man was murdered in Takhar province, and his body was found today in the Kaftarkhana area of Dasht-e Qala district in the same province.
