RASC News Agency: Mawlawi Abdul Kabir, the Deputy Political Chief of the Taliban leadership, has asserted in his latest statements that comprehensive security currently prevails in the country, underscoring the imperative for all migrants, particularly traders, to repatriate. Tolo News reported on Monday, Feb 12, that Abdul Kabir addressed this matter during a visit to the temporary migrant camp in Torkham town, stressing that neighboring countries should refrain from coercing Afghanistani migrants into returning forcibly.

The Taliban’s Deputy Political Chief further emphasized: “We implore all nations not to compel migrants to return, particularly during the winter season and other critical circumstances, especially when they have not retrieved their belongings and settled their accounts.” This assertion coincides with recent months during which Pakistan and Iran, the primary hosts of Afghanistani migrants, have initiated arbitrary expulsions of these migrants.

According to reports from the Taliban’s Migration and Repatriation Directorate in Nangarhar, since November 2023, over 50,000 families have been repatriated from Pakistan to the country via the Torkham crossing. However, despite claims by this Taliban official regarding the prevalence of comprehensive security in the country, daily reports reveal a rise in criminal incidents nationwide.
