RASC News Agency: Mawlawi Abdul Kabir, the Deputy Political Chief of the Taliban’s Supreme Council, recently declared at a seminar that anyone who does not acknowledge the US and NATO presence in Afghanistan as occupation is lacking in honor and ethics. This statement by the Taliban official was made on Wednesday, Feb 7, in Kabul, indicating that these individuals either reside under foreign influence abroad or take up arms against the Taliban and engage in combat.

However, it appears that the audience for the Deputy Chief’s remarks includes factions opposed to this group, which have conducted military operations against them and occasionally inflicted casualties on the Taliban. Mawlawi Abdul Kabir further asserted that during the 20 years of Taliban “jihad,” all Afghanistani ethnic groups participated. He suggested that if someone commits a suicide attack, another person has either provided him with bread and shelter or prayed for him.

This development coincides with the Taliban’s Ministry of Tribal Affairs hosting a seminar titled “Strengthening the Islamic System and National Unity” on Wednesday, Feb 7, in the Loya Jirga Hall, where several leaders of this group delivered speeches.
