RASC News Agency: Officials within the Taliban group in Ghor province have announced the apprehension of an individual accused of murdering his grandmother in the Teuri district. According to a press release issued by the Taliban’s security command in Ghor province on Wednesday, January 3rd, the suspect initially fled after committing the crime but was subsequently captured by the group’s security forces in the Teuri district. The press release from the Taliban’s Ghor command identified the detained individual as Abdul Haq, a resident of the “Kali” village in the Teura district. Currently, an ongoing investigation and interrogation are underway to extract information from him.
While the precise cause and motivation behind this murder remain undetermined, incidents of self-inflicted murders by citizens have witnessed an increase across various provinces for diverse reasons. It is crucial to note that the absence of a regular judicial institution addressing criminal cases, particularly self-inflicted murders and armed robberies, facilitates individuals engaging in such actions. According to the perspective held by numerous citizens across different provinces, criminals, particularly those involved in self-inflicted murders, often escape the scene without subsequent intervention by relevant authorities in this domain.
Simultaneously, in the aftermath of the Taliban’s assumption of power in the country, notably in recent months, criminal activities have experienced a significant upsurge, attributing this surge to the group’s mismanagement in diverse provinces, instigating substantial concern among the populace. The escalation of criminal incidents underscores the challenges posed by the Taliban’s governance, raising apprehensions about the overall security and stability of the regions affected. The need for an effective judicial system to address such crimes and ensure accountability becomes increasingly evident in the face of these concerning developments.
