RASC News Agency: Following the compelled expulsion of Afghanistani refugees from Iran, Iranian authorities have explicitly asserted the necessity to purify the province of Kermanshah from the presence of Afghanistani refugees. The Director-General of Foreign Nationals and Immigrants in Kermanshah Province declared on Thursday, December 28th, that, pursuant to the Ministry of Interior’s directive, the residence, settlement, and employment of Afghanistani nationals are categorically prohibited in all regions of Kermanshah Province.

Per this directive, all Afghanistani migrants must undergo identification, apprehension, and subsequent expulsion from Kermanshah Province within a 13-day timeframe, with explicit emphasis on the prohibition of employment for Afghanistani migrants by any individual. This development coincides with an intensified wave of forced expulsion of Afghanistani refugees by both Iran and Pakistan, instigating significant apprehensions within the Afghanistani refugee community. As per the latest reports presented by Iranian authorities, almost one million Afghanistani refugees have been identified and expelled from Iran over the past nine months.

Simultaneously, Pakistani authorities have asserted that, within the last two months, nearly 500,000 Afghanistani migrants have faced coercive expulsion from the country, subsequently returning to Afghanistan. It is noteworthy that following the Taliban’s assumption of power in Afghanistan, the exodus of citizens from the country to neighboring regions in pursuit of reaching European nations has witnessed heightened momentum. Observers posit that a confluence of factors, including poverty, unemployment, prevailing challenges within the country, Taliban-imposed restrictions, and the looming fear of the Taliban, has driven Afghanistani citizens to seek migration to other countries.
