RASC News Agency: In the aftermath of the persisting detention and expulsion of Afghanistani migrants from Turkey, Turkish authorities have once again thrust into the limelight the apprehension of 82 Afghanistani asylum seekers within the nation. On the notable date of Tuesday, December 19th, Turkish police formally communicated to the media the apprehension of these individuals, distinctly articulating that the 82 detainees were seized in the city of Agri. Turkish media outlets meticulously reported that these asylum seekers underwent intricate legal procedures before being routed to the pertinent department entrusted with the expulsion of foreign nationals.

According to the information disseminated by Turkish law enforcement, these individuals were identified and apprehended while clandestinely attempting to traverse into Turkey from Iran. This unfolds against the intricate tapestry of antecedent reports delving into the coercive detention and expulsion of Afghanistani refugees from Turkey, thereby contributing substantively to the escalating narrative surrounding such incidents. Reports posit that over the past several months, Turkey has detained and forcibly expelled upwards of four thousand Afghanistani migrants.

It is imperative to underscore that, in tandem with Turkey’s policies, Pakistan and Iran have also initiated the compelled expulsion of Afghanistani refugees, leading to a significant number of Afghanistani citizens being ousted from these two nations in the recent months. Of particular note is the undeniable fact that, following the Taliban group’s assumption of power in Afghanistan, the mass exodus of the country’s citizens, particularly the youthful demographic, to neighboring nations with the aspiration of reaching European destinations, has experienced a palpable and noteworthy upswing.
