On Tuesday, December 19th, sources brought this issue to light, articulating that these individuals, armed with documented authority, subject the populace to harassment and distress throughout the province. These armed enforcers, as reported by sources, have issued explicit directives to proprietors of shops and commercial markets, stipulating that their guards within city must procure identification cards from them.
Sources contend that subsequent to obtaining these identification cards, the proprietors are obligated to deposit funds that would be allocated monthly to these guards as their remuneration. Intellectual insights reveal that this group currently holds custody over eight guards, encompassing the leader of the Guards Union, and the Taliban’s security leadership in Khost is actively coordinating with them.
