RASC News Agency: According to credible sources, the Taliban group has relocated Julia Parsi, a prominent women’s rights activist, to a hospital. This move follows reports of her deteriorating physical condition resulting from torture in the Taliban’s prison. However, the exact cause for her transfer remains undisclosed, as confirmed by a source closely connected to Parsi’s family on Monday, December 4th.
Numerous women have taken to social media, sharing messages about Parsi’s plight, depicting her severe physical and mental state due to the brutal torture endured while in the Taliban’s custody. Despite this, Parsi’s family remains uninformed about the hospital where she is receiving treatment, lacking any details about her illness or current physical condition.
It is crucial to highlight that the Taliban arrested Parsi on October 7th, along with her child, in Kabul, where she has been held in their prison ever since. Parsi played a pivotal role in the Spontaneous Movement of Afghanistani Women Protesters in Kabul, striving to challenge the discrimination and oppression faced by women under Taliban rule.
The Taliban group has a history of apprehending, torturing, and incarcerating women involved in protests across various provinces. Many of these women have resorted to suicide after their release from Taliban prisons. Despite persistent calls from both domestic and international authorities for the release of Parsi and other detained women protesters, the Taliban group has exhibited no indications of positively responding to these demands.
