RASC News Agency: Officials from the Taliban’s Ministry of Transportation and Aviation recently announced the temporary suspension of operations for 17 passenger buses in Kabul’s terminals. This decision aims to evaluate the technical condition of these vehicles, as outlined in a newsletter from the Taliban group’s ministry. The group’s investigation revealed that some buses were halted due to non-standard conditions, while others underwent necessary repairs.
In contrast, on a daily basis, hundreds of passenger cars depart from Kabul’s terminals to various provinces across the country. The North and Company terminals, in particular, experience a high volume of travelers, with thousands of citizens relying on these stations for their daily commute. However, this development unfolds at a time when unemployment and poverty rates among Afghanistani citizens have reached alarming levels. The current work and business environment in the country are unfavorable, leading to a significant number of citizens facing unemployment.
Moreover, since the Taliban assumed control of Afghanistan, the surge in unemployment has driven a large number of Afghanistani citizens to seek refuge in neighboring countries to escape joblessness. Additionally, these individuals now confront the risk of deportation from their host nations. It is crucial to note that despite the Taliban group’s repeated denial of reports concerning the dire economic situation in Afghanistan, the demand for humanitarian aid has markedly increased, underscoring the pressing needs of the people.
