RASC News Agency: Hamza Suleimani, the Director-General of Alien and Foreign Nationals Affairs in the province of Kermanshah, Iran, has announced the prohibition of Afghanistani refugees from entering 16 provinces of the country, including Kermanshah. Suleimani conveyed to the media that they have identified, detained, and expelled Afghanistani refugees from Kermanshah on multiple occasions since the beginning of the year. He added that during this process, a significant number of Afghanistani laborers and certain delinquent and uncommitted employers have been apprehended.
Provinces entirely prohibited for Afghanistani citizens include East Azerbaijan, West Azerbaijan, Ardabil, Zanjan, Kurdistan, Kermanshah, Ilam, Lorestan, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad, Gilan, Mazandaran, Sistan and Baluchestan, Hormozgan, and Hamedan. Additionally, provinces with specific areas restricted for Afghanistani residents include Isfahan, Bushehr, South Khorasan, Razavi Khorasan, Khuzestan, Semnan, Fars, Qazvin, Kerman, Golestan, Markazi, and Yazd.
Suleimani emphasized that the identification, detention, and expulsion of Afghanistani refugees from Kermanshah are ongoing, urging the province’s police to diligently fulfill their responsibilities. He further appealed to the public, asking them to contact the police and the governor’s office if they observe the employment of Afghanistani refugees in farms, gardens, construction sites, etc.
This occurs as the forced deportation of Afghanistani refugees from Iran has escalated in the past month, with thousands being expelled from the country daily. It is noteworthy that during the two years of the Taliban’s rule in Afghanistan, the migration of the country’s citizens to neighboring countries, including Iran and Pakistan, has intensified.
