RASC News Agency: Recent reports from Pakistani media indicate a forceful deportation of a substantial number of Afghanistani refugees from Pakistan. According to Radio Pakistan’s report on Saturday, December 2nd, an alarming 402,312 Afghanistani refugees have been forcibly deported, with an additional 3,776 refugees arrested and repatriated just yesterday. The government of Pakistan asserts that this coerced deportation is an ongoing process, anticipating a further increase in numbers in the coming days.

It is noteworthy that Pakistan initiated the forced deportation of Afghanistani refugees a month ago, resulting in the repatriation of over 400,000 individuals to their home country. Concurrently, Iran has escalated its efforts to deport Afghanistani refugees during this period, leading to a substantial number of Afghanistani citizens being returned. Returnee households have voiced concerns about prevailing poverty and unemployment in Afghanistan, particularly apprehensive about their children’s future, urgently seeking assistance from international organizations.

The surge in migration from Afghanistan to neighboring countries, notably among young people, former soldiers, and women’s rights activists, can be attributed to the fear instilled by the Taliban’s ascendancy. Many individuals from these groups have opted to depart their homeland, seeking refuge in neighboring countries through both legal and illegal channels. Experts underscore that the Taliban’s presence has generated a pervasive sense of insecurity, compelling these individuals to flee in pursuit of safety and stability.
