RASC News Agency: Hamid Karzai, the former President of Afghanistan, has once again underscored the immediate necessity of reopening educational institutions for Afghanistani girls and abolishing the ban on their education. In a recent meeting with Iranian officials, Karzai reiterated the crucial importance of reinstating schools and universities for girls in Afghanistan. Through a message shared on social media and his discussions with Iranian officials in Kabul, Karzai emphasized that fostering the education of both girls and boys stands as paramount for the prosperity and development of Afghanistan.

Within the meeting, Karzai delved into the significance of establishing enduring peace and stability in Afghanistan through national dialogue. Engaging with Iran’s ambassador to Afghanistan, Hassan Kazemi Qomi, and Mehdi Mostafawi, a member of Iran’s Strategic Council for Foreign Relations, Karzai, despite his earlier appeals for reopening educational centers for Afghanistani girls and championing education for all children, acknowledged the escalating constraints imposed by the Taliban on the lives of Afghanistani women and girls. These constraints extend to prohibiting education, employment, and unrestricted mobility for women.

It is evident that Karzai remains steadfast in his commitment to advocating for the rights of Afghanistani girls to access education. He recognizes that education is not only indispensable for the individual growth and development of girls but also vital for the overall progress and prosperity of Afghanistan. Despite the challenges posed by the Taliban’s restrictions, Karzai persistently raises this issue, calling for the reopening of educational centers and emphasizing the importance of education for all children, irrespective of gender.
