RASC News Agency: Anwarul Haq Kakar, the interim prime minister of Pakistan, has once again said that he is worried about the threats of terrorist groups against his country from the ground of Afghanistan.
He made these statements on the September 22 in the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
Kakar said that his country condemns the cross-border terrorist attacks against Pakistan by Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan, ISIS and other active groups from Afghanistan.
He said: “Preventing and countering terrorism from the soil of Afghanistan is one of the first priorities of Pakistan.”
He also added that Islamabad has supported the Taliban group in order to prevent TTP and other groups from attacking Pakistan.
He made these statements at the same time as the visit of the Pakistani delegation headed by Mohammad Asif Durrani, the country’s special representative for Afghanistan, to Kabul.
According to Pakistani media reports, citing their sources, the Taliban group presented a plan to curb TTP in a meeting with the delegation of this country.
However, more details have not been provided in relation to this plan.
This is despite the fact that in addition to Pakistan, a number of other neighboring countries and the region have expressed concern about terrorist threats from Afghanistan.
Meanwhile, the Commonwealth of Independent States also expressed concern about the presence and activities of terrorist groups from Afghanistan.
