RASC News Agency: Local officials in the Department of Rural Development and Rehabilitation of Ghor Province confirm that food packages have been distributed to 5,530 needy families in this province.
Zabihullah Ghosizada, the head of the press office of the Department of Rural Rehabilitation and Development of Ghor Province, says that these aids have been distributed to the needy by the World Food Program (WFP) in cooperation with the MHCO and in coordination with this department, which included food items.
According to him, these aid packages include flour, oil and tonic for children, which have been distributed to needy families in Lal and Sarjangal district.
According to the statements of the local officials of Ghor, food has been distributed to a number of needy families in Pasaband district of this province.
This is despite the fact that with the Taliban group regaining control over the country, the statistics of poverty, unemployment and the number of needy families have increased in different parts of the country.
At the same time, many international institutions warned that due to the budget deficit, they will reduce the amount of their humanitarian aid to the people of Afghanistan.
It should be mentioned that since the beginning of their invasion of the country, the Taliban group has imposed increasing restrictions on the lives of women and prohibited them from the right to education, training and work in all public and private offices.
It is said that one of the reasons that increased the number of needy people in the country is the unemployment of women who were the sole breadwinners of their families.
It should be noted that the World Food Program announced the removal of two million needy people from its aid program yesterday.
