RASC: Local sources in Kandahar city say that the forces of the Taliban group have blocked several women’s beauty parlors in this city before the time set by themselves.
Firoz, the brother of a female hairdresser in Kandahar city, says on Thursday, July 13, that the Taliban group has been harassing the owners of women’s beauty parlors for the past two days, arrested some of them and closed the women’s beauty parlors before the appointed time.
Firoz says that his sister’s husband was detained by the Taliban group for six hours. According to him, the Taliban group took his cell phones and confiscated the hairdressing equipment.
Meanwhile, another local source in the city of Kandahar, who did not want to be named in the news, says that two days ago, the officials of the Taliban group arrested a female hairdresser along with her husband for six to seven hours and closed her salon.
This source says that around 7:30 last night in the first district of Kandahar city, he witnessed another scene in which the forces of the Taliban group took a woman out of a beauty parlor with handcuffs and took them with them. According to him, this beautician woman was arrested by the administration of the Taliban group.
The Taliban group announced about two weeks ago that according to the verbal order of Mullah Hebatullah, the leader of this group, all women’s beauty parlors have until July 25 of this year to stop their activities. The decree that followed the sharp reactions of citizens and organizations defending women’s rights.
Now the Taliban group has started to close beauty parlors in Kandahar city before the appointed time and mistreat female hairdressers.
