RASC: The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Aid (OCHA) has published a newsletter and said that based on a new assessment of Afghanistan’s needy humanitarian aid, five hundred thousand more needy people have been added to humanitarian aid from the beginning of 2023 until June.

Earlier, the United Nations had said that the number of people in need of humanitarian assistance in Afghanistan reached 28.3 million people, but now 29 million people need humanitarian assistance.

OCHA has evaluated the first five months of 2023 and said that for the remaining seven months of this year, he prioritized the unresolved issues.

The United Nations says that at least $2.26 billion is needed to help the needy and advance other humanitarian programs.

If the necessary budget is entrusted to the United Nations and other cooperating organizations, at least 20 million people will be helped.

The United Nations has said that since the end of 2022, it has helped 17.3 million people at least once with 924 million dollars of international aid.
