RASC: Ibrahim Rahimpoor, the former Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran, in connection with the tension between the Taliban group and Iran regarding Iran’s water rights from the Helmand River, said that the Taliban group is not a logical and normal group and that they are guided from outside regarding Iran’s water rights.

In an interview with Isna news agency, Mr. Rahimpoor said, “Taliban interests require that they continue to be in contact with America and they are working now.”

According to him, the Taliban group is “not logical and normal, and it is different from resistance groups and Islamic Jihad.”

Rahimpoor pointed out that the Taliban group is an “ignorant resistance” group that sometimes behaves effectively and sometimes irrationally, and like ISIS, is coveted by the leaders and countries of the world and the region.

According to him, “Taliban is building and losing with effective extra-regional and regional countries.”

This is despite the recent tension between the Taliban group and Iran over the provision of Iran’s water rights from the Helmand River.
