Detention of More than 1400 People on Charges of Various Crimes in Helmand Province by the Taliban Group

RASC: The local officials of the Taliban group for Helmand province have announced that they have arrested more than 1,400 people in this province on charges of criminal offenses.

Ezzatullah Haqqani, the spokesperson of the Taliban security governor, said on Monday, May 15, that in the past year, 1432 people were arrested in the center and districts of this province on charges of murder, theft, smuggling, moral corruption, embezzlement and other crimes.

It should be mentioned that the Taliban fighters, disobeying the false amnesty order of the leadership of this group, arrest, torture and sometimes kill the security forces of the previous government under various pretexts.
