RASC: The local officials of the Taliban group in Paktika province say that a relatively strong earthquake has shaken this province.

The head of fighting natural events of the Taliban group in Paktika province says that this earthquake felt on Sunday morning, May 14, in Gyan district and its neighboring cities.

Mawlawi Matiullah Mansour, the head of this department, confirmed the earthquake but did not say anything about the casualties and damages.

Meanwhile, the residents of Gyan district of Paktika province say that 10 residential houses have been destroyed following this earthquake.

However, the Seismological Center of India reported that this earthquake with a magnitude of 4.3 occurred at a depth of 60 km, 151 km southeast of Kabul.

After the deadly and devastating earthquake occurred nearly a year ago in Gyan city of Paktika province, mild earthquakes in this area have increased the fear of the residents of this city about the repetition of the previous event.

In last year’s earthquake in Gyan city of Paktika province, more than one thousand people were killed and hundreds of families lost their homes.
