RASC: The Hindustan Times, citing Indian government agencies, reported that Karachi-based Haji Salim, who cooperated with Pakistan’s intelligence to help infiltrate Lashkar-e-Taiba militants in Jammu and Kashmir, trafficked most of Khorasan/Afghanistan’s heroin.
This media called Haji Salim “the king of the drug cartel”. According to this media, Haji Salim has many secret laboratories in Balochistan and labels the heroin of Khorasan/Afghanistan with different symbols.
Hindustan Times says some of the seized drug packages in India had inscriptions like 555, 999, unicorn and dragon.
An official told Hindustan Times that 70% of all drug smuggling in India is done by sea and Haji Salim’s network is involved in most of the drug shipments.
According to the report, so far, about 3 thousand kilos of heroin, 500 kilos of amphetamine and 600 kilos of hashish have been discovered in the Indian Ocean, which were sent by the Haji Salim cartel.
Since the rule of the Taliban group over the country, drug cultivation and smuggling has increased dramatically, and before this, an Iranian official had warned of the increase in drug cultivation in this country.
