RASC News Agency: The Afghanistan Freedom Front (AFF) has announced that its forces launched a successful operation in Pul-e-Khumri, Baghlan province, resulting in the elimination of four Taliban fighters and injuries to two others. In an official statement issued on Sunday, January 30, the AFF claimed responsibility for an explosion that occurred in the central square of Pul-e-Khumri the previous evening, January 18. The statement detailed that the target of the attack was a mobile convoy of Taliban intelligence vehicles.

According to the AFF, “This operation led to the deaths of four Taliban militiamen and injuries to two others.” The group further emphasized that the assault dealt a significant blow to the Taliban forces in the area. The AFF also reported that Mullah Ibrahim Mansoori, a senior Taliban intelligence commander who was allegedly in the convoy, remains unaccounted for, with no clear information about his condition. On Saturday evening, local residents in Baghlan had reported an explosion in Pul-e-Khumri city, which was later confirmed by the AFF as part of their operation.

The Afghanistan Freedom Front has a history of conducting targeted operations against the Taliban, frequently resulting in casualties within the ranks of the group. Established in 2021 after the collapse of the previous Afghanistan government, the AFF has emerged as one of the key armed resistance groups opposing Taliban rule. The AFF describes itself as a champion of freedom, justice, and the fundamental rights of the Afghanistani people. It has consistently declared its mission to establish a free Afghanistan devoid of extremism, using armed resistance as a means to achieve this goal.

Operating predominantly in Kabul, Parwan, and Baghlan provinces, the AFF continues its campaign against the Taliban, aiming to disrupt their hold over these regions.
