U.S. Veteran Advocates for Ahmad Massoud to Address Congress

RASC News Agency: According to a report by Fox News, Chad Robichaux, a former U.S. Navy veteran, has launched a campaign to persuade Congress to hear the warnings of Ahmad Massoud, the commander of the Afghanistan resistance forces. Fox News quoted Robichaux stating, “Massoud leads all our allies from the past 20 years in Afghanistan; everyone we left behind—the commandos, the translators, all those who chose to continue the fight. We have entirely abandoned him, our allies, and the Afghanistani people.”

Robichaux is a leading advocate for the petition to invite Ahmad Massoud to speak before Congress. The Fox News report reveals that, in addition to Robichaux, a former Navy SEAL and a former Pentagon official are also prominent supporters of the request for Massoud to address Congress. Ryan, a former U.S. Marine, initiated a campaign to gather signatures in support of this petition four weeks ago. The petition has now garnered 246,000 signatures.

Fox News further reports that at least one legislator within Congress, Republican Representative Eli Crane, has confirmed the necessity of hearing Ahmad Massoud’s address. Robichaux, commenting on the fall of the previous Afghanistan government and the Taliban’s resurgence, asserted that the U.S., amidst the conflict in Afghanistan, “switched sides,” thereby enabling the Taliban’s return to power.
